Angry Birds Star Wars AT-AT Attack Battle Game Review (Hasbro)

What It Is

The new Angry Birds Star Wars app comes to life in the offscreen world with a line of toys and games from Hasbro. Just like in the app, kids can build structures and knock down Star Wars-inspired Angry Birds characters. The AT-AT Attack Battle Game comes with 21 blocks and eight AT-AT pieces. Kids build the structure by following the instructions or creating their own configuration. Then add in the pigs, and, like in the app, launch birds to knock down the pigs. The set includes a Rebel Trooper Echo Base Gear bird, an exclusive Luke Skywalker Echo Base Gear bird, an R2-D2 egg, a Han Solo bird, a Luke Skywalker Hoth Pilot bird, a Darth Vader pig, an AT-AT Commander pig, two Stormtrooper pigs, an AT-AT Driver pig, and two Snowtrooper pigs.

Is It Fun?

The AT-AT Attack Battle Game has elements that are derived from the Angry Birds Star Wars app, but interpreted in a way that works as a real-life skill-and-action game. It adds a social and interactive dimension to the electronic game. The build-it-up-knock-it-down action is perfectly positioned for younger kids.

Even though this is called a game, there is no scoring system. Kids can create their own scoring system if they want to play a game that has winners and losers, but younger kids who just like to crash things might enjoy it as it is, especially with the Star Wars characters.

Who It’s For

The Angry Birds Star Wars AT-AT Attack Battle Game is for ages 5 and up. It will appeal to kids who like skill and action games.

What To Be Aware Of

The game also includes a code to unlock special content within the Angry Birds Star Wars app. Purchase of the app is required.
