Pub Trivia is based on trivia game nights that take place in pubs and bars across the nation. At these weekly events, teams compete against one another by answering trivia questions. Trivia night fans can host their own trivia night at home with Pub Trivia. The object of this party game is to be the team with the highest score at the end of five quiz question rounds.
One player is the host and reads all the questions out loud, collects and marks team answer sheets, and tallies the scores. (This player can be the host for the entire game or players can take turns as host.) The host also chooses the order that the five question categories (Anything Goes, Science/Nature/Tech, History/Geography, Sport/Recreation, and Entertainment) will be asked. The host picks a quiz card and reads the questions one by one to the whole group, allowing sufficient time between each question for teams to write their answers.
There are a variety of questions. The first five are short answers, which means players write five short answers to receive anywhere from one to four points per question. The sixth question is In Fours, which means there are four answers to the question and teams score one point for each correct answer they write down. For the Who Said? question, players must write a name associated with a famous quote for a maximum of three points. Which Decade? is a two-part question. You can score two points for getting the correct decade and three points for guessing the exact year. The answer to question nine will always be a number, and teams can earn up to three points. And the last question asks teams to draw something for a maximum of five points.
Pub Trivia comes with 100 quiz cards, 200 team answer sheets, 10 score sheets, a quiz card sleeve, and four pencils. The game is for four or more players.
Just like at bar and pub trivia nights, Pub Trivia is a social game that's a lot of fun to play. We like the variety of categories and question types. You don't have to be a trivia buff to play this game. You might learn a few things as you play and surprise yourself with what you already know.
Pub Trivia is for ages 12 and up.
There are 10 score sheets, and each score has four score tables on it. Use only one score table per game.
