In the Magic Tooth Fairy, players "magically" turn pretend teeth into gold. The centerpiece of the game is a plastic bed. Before you begin playing, insert the gold coins into the pillow. (This is an adult-only task. The instructions say that parents should try not to let children see them load the coins so as not to ruin the magical surprise for kids.)
Each player receives a smile board and four teeth. Push the four teeth into position on the smile board. Players take turns spinning the spinner and moving the fairy piece clockwise the indicated number of spaces. Then that player does what is instructed on the space.
Move spaces tell players the number of spaces they should move ahead.
Lose a Tooth spaces cause a player to remove a tooth from his or her smile board. The player must hold onto the tooth until he or she lands on a Go to Bed space.
If you land on Go to Bed and have at least one tooth out of your smile board, you place the tooth on the bed in the cut out square by the pillow. Then slide the pillow over the tooth, and then back to the head of the bed. The tooth "magically" transforms into a gold coin left by the Tooth Fairy. (The teeth fall into the bed's interior.) If a player lands on Go to Bed but doesn't have a lost tooth, he doesn't do anything.
Landing on an Oops…You Forgot to Brush space means you must take a tooth that has been removed from your smile board (but not yet given to the Tooth Fairy) and press it back into the smile board. If you don't have any lost teeth, you don't do anything.
The first person to lose all four teeth and collect four gold coins is the winner.
Magic Tooth Fairy includes a game board, magic bed, magic tooth fairy, 16 teeth, four smile boards, 13 coins, a spinner, and rules. The game is for two to four players.
This is a cute game that introduces kids to the story of the Tooth Fairy. Kids will love the magical transformation when the pillow slides over their tooth and a gold coin appears.
Magic Tooth Fairy is for ages 4 and up.
To empty the teeth from the bed at the end of the game, pull the mattress off the bed and take out the teeth. Press the teeth back into the smile boards and refill the pillow with gold coins.
Despite what the games' rules say, we don't think it's necessary for an adult to set up every game. Kids will enjoy the action of the "transformation" even if they know how it's accomplished.
