Disney Fairies Secret of the Wings Sky High Periwinkle Review (Jakks Pacific)

What It Is

On October 23, 2012, a new Disney Fairies adventure will be released on DVD. In Secret of the Wings, Tinker Bell ventures into the mysterious Winter Woods and meets the fairy Periwinkle. Together, the fairies discover why their wings sparkle when they are in the Winter Woods.

Kids can make the new character Periwinkle fly with Sky High Periwinkle. This is a simple handheld device with a quick-pull string. It comes with a 6.5-inch Periwinkle doll and a flower base launcher. Place Periwinkle in the flower base. Pull the launch cord and watch Periwinkle fly up to 10 feet high.

Parents may be familiar with this type of toy from the popular Sky Dancers they may have grown up with, and which are very similar to this toy.

Is It Fun?

Disney Fairies fans, and particularly fans of Secret of the Wings, will like being able to make Periwinkle fly just like in the movie. This is an easy-to-use toy that will inspire all kinds of imaginative fairy play.

Who It’s For

Sky High Periwinkle is for Disney Fairies fans ages 4 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

Adult supervision is recommended.

Never aim Periwinkle at eyes or faces or launch the toy at people, animals, or unintended objects.

Only fly Sky High Periwinkle in an open area.

Always hold the launcher at arm's length and pointing straight up and away from your face when launching. (It will not work if you hold it out at an angle.) Be careful not to pull the launch cord too fast or too hard.

After launching Sky High Periwinkle, hold onto the launch cord tab and allow it to slowly return to its original position.
