Make-a-Mask Review (Mudpuppy)

What It Is

Make-a-Masks are kits that come with 20 different masks that kids can color in and wear. There are six styles available: superheroes, butterflies, princesses, jungle animals, monsters, and farm animals. Each is sold separately. Each tablet comes with 20 tear-off paper masks ready to be colored in. Kids get five each of four illustrated designs. Each mask has small pre-punched holes for attaching the included elastic bands so that kids can wear the masks around the heads.

Is It Fun?

This is a creative activity that lets kids make their own unique masks for dress-up play or Halloween costumes.

The play is all in decorating the masks however the child wishes.

Who It’s For

Make-a-Masks are for ages 4 and up.

These will appeal to kids who like arts and crafts play. While many children want to be specific characters at Halloween, this has year-round appeal and might be a lot of fun for play dates with multiple kids each able to make his or her own mask.

What To Be Aware Of

It took us about 20 minutes to color in a mask and attach the elastic band. Younger kids might need help attaching the elastic.

The masks are printed with non-toxic, soy-based inks.
