Farmville Animal Games Go Fish Review (Hasbro)

What It Is

Fans of the popular Farmville game from Zynga can now share their favorite animals offline with new Farmville Animal Games. Farmville Animal Games Go Fish comes with a Groovy Chicken-shaped pouch that contains the card game Go Fish. Or in the case of this game, Go Farm. Each player gets seven cards. The rest of the cards are placed facedown in a pile in the middle of the playing area. Players take turns asking other players if they have specific animal cards. If the player asked does have a matching card(s), he must give those to the player who asked for them. If the player does not have a matching card, he tells the player who asked for them to "Go Farm." That player would then take one card from the pile. The object is to get the most sets of four matching animal cards. The game is for two to four players. It comes with 40 animal cards that store inside the Groovy Chicken zippered pouch.

The purchase of Farmville Animal Games Go Fish gives parents a unique code to redeem 20 Farm Cash of in-game currency for use in Zynga's Farmville online game.

Is It Fun?

While the game is fun, we had some problems with it. A child will have to hold a lot of cards in his or her hand because you have to collect four cards for a match instead of two cards. The cards are small and a little awkward for an adult hand to hold, so young kids may have difficulty holding more than seven cards at a time. Also, when you fan out all the cards, it's hard to see the animals on the card. When we played, we ended up calling out card colors instead of animals to make things easier.

Who It’s For
