ABC ZooBorns Review (Peapod Labs)

What It Is

ABC ZooBorns is an app that helps children discover and be inquisitive while learning about baby animals and growing their vocabulary. The app presents more than 50 baby animals organized in alphabetical order. On the main screen, you can search for animals that start with specific letters. Tap on any of the squares and it will take you to an image of that baby animal. Children can tap any of the letters on the screen to see other baby animals that start with those letters. There is a tremendous amount of ways for kids to discover new animals with this app. One of the ways is simply to swipe from page to page, reading the app like a book. There are a variety of learning features that you can discover while playing ABC ZooBorns. When looking at one of the images, tap the little girl icon on the right-hand side of the screen. A fact will pop up on the screen and be read aloud in the little girl's voice. If you see a little finger icon in the left-hand corner, that means there is an interactive image. The image will pop up, and your child will be prompted to swipe their finger over the screen to reveal a new image. In the upper left-hand corner, if you see a triangle icon, that means there is a video. Each of the videos has been curated to make sure that they are child-friendly and entertaining and educational.

This is a very open-ended app. It is designed so that kids can discover what is most interesting to them. ABC ZooBorns is an app that's filled with fun facts and totally guided by your child's interests.

What To Be Aware Of

When you first open the app, you might notice that you can sign up with a Peapod Labs account. This is great for keeping track of your child's use of any of the Peapod Lab apps.
