Halo Covenant Wraith Review (MEGA Bloks)

What It Is

The MEGA Bloks Halo Covenant Wraith building set is newly designed with new armaments, plasma mortar, and indigo color as well as opening cargo doors and a deployable plasma cannon. Based on the vehicle from the Halo video game series, this anti-air wraith is also heavily armored with a pair of fuel rod cannons. It serves as the Convenant's mobile anti-aircraft artillery but can do massive damage to both air and ground targets. This 637-piece building set comes with a new Forerunner terrain and includes three micro action figures: a new Elite Commando in gold armor, a Combat Elite, and an EOD Spartan.

Is It Fun?

The detail of this newly designed building set and the new minifigures bring the Halo experience to life for fans outside of the video game environment. While collectors may want to display this set, kids will want to play out all sorts of battle and action with the Covenant Wraith.

Who It’s For

The MEGA Bloks Halo Covenant Wraith is for Halo fans and collectors ages 8 and up.

The Halo video games are rated Mature (17 and older), due to blood and gore and violence. While there is nothing of that nature in this building set, some parents may find a Halo building set inappropriate for their children.

What To Be Aware Of

One thing that would have made this easier to build would be if we had not had to open up all the bags and search for pieces. The pieces weren't organized in the bags according to what element of the model was being built. This can make it a little more confusing and difficult to find pieces, since you have to dump them all out on the table at one time. The build took us about two hours and 30 minutes, but depending on your skill level, it may take longer to build.
