Endless Games has updated the once classic parlor game Follow The Letter into a board game. Players can divide into two to four teams with at least one person on each team. One player starts by drawing a card and rolling the die. Whichever number the die lands on is the category on the card to be played. If a player rolls a six, the player gets to choose any category on the card. When the category is read, the first team to the spinner's left has 15 seconds on the timer to name a word, name, or phrase that fits the category.
After the first answer is given, the next team has 15 seconds to come up with another word, name, or phrase, but this time the answer must begin with the last letter from the previous answer. For example, if the category is food and the first player says, "Sandwich," the second player would need to say something that begins with "H," such as hamburger. Teams continue to go around saying words that follow this pattern and fit the category.
When a team cannot come up with an answer or repeats an answer before the timer runs out, that team is out from the remainder of that round. Play continues until only one team remains. This team can then move their pawn up one space and a new round begins. The first team to the finishing space, wins the game.
This is a fast-paced party game that is a great addition to any family game night collection. With only 15 seconds to blurt out an answer, it will bring on the laughs as players get tongue-tied and thinking on their feet.
Follow The Letter is for ages 8 and up.
Additional more challenging game rules are included in the instructions and can be added if players choose.
