Future Planet E-Rangers’ Headquarters Review (Playmobil)

What It Is

Part of Playmobil's Future Planet line is the E-Rangers' Headquarters, an all-inclusive play system that imagines humans and aliens living together on a planet far, far away. On this planet, red crystals are a vital energy source to the E-Rangers. Insert "crystals" into the playset to illuminate features such as an LED spotlight and KO-Flash laser canon. Other features include a rotating gate and elevator, knockout canon, four E-Rangers and one robot figure, and a balance racer that converts into a propeller or jet car racer. Lift off the top of the playset to access additional interior play features, including a functioning solar-powered fan, which is activated by direct light.

Is It Fun?

With the E-Rangers' Headquarters, kids can use the characters to oversee operations in the command center, battle enemies, and create their own futuristic storylines. This playset will engage kids in a lot of open-ended, narrative-based play. The solar-powered fan and red light crystals can also be a fun way to help teach young children about alternative energy sources.

Who It’s For

The Future Planet E-Rangers' Headquarters is for ages 7 and up.

While the role play and imaginative opportunities are virtually limitless, this will appeal most to kids who like space-themed play.

What To Be Aware Of

Assembly took about 90 minutes, including the time it took to add labels.

The functional solar-cell fan can be powered on by direct sunlight or any LED or regular lamp. Additional features however require three AAA batteries, which are not included.

While the price may be a little high, this playset offers an extraordinary amount of play, and the high quality of the pieces and overall creativity of the set will make it worthwhile for kids who enjoy this play.
