LEGO Friends Heartlake Stables Review (LEGO)

What It Is

Last year LEGO introduced LEGO Friends, a line of construction sets geared primarily toward traditional girls' play patterns. The line expands this year with brand new construction sets, including Heartlake Stables. This 416-piece set brings a horse stable to life. It comes with two mini-doll figures, Mia and Katharina, and two horses, Bella and Niki, for the figures to ride. There are also two practice jumps to build, so that kids can have the horses practice their jumps before the competition. Kids can build a barn with two horse stables, a hand trolley, a well with bucket, and fencing. Accessories include a cat, frog, carrots, cups, a book, pitchfork, two riding helmets, two saddles, two bridles, and an animal accessory set with brushes, a comb, bows, hair spray, soap, and prize ribbons. Kids can even open the barn roof for easy access to play inside and hang out in the hayloft lounge. The set also includes a LEGO brick separator to make it easier to take apart the bricks.

Is It Fun?

With the LEGO Friends Heartlake Stables building set, the imaginative play possibilities are endless. Kids will like pretending to take care of the horses and get them ready for the big equestrian competition. There is so much detail and play built into this set, from the hayloft lounge to the horse grooming accessories. This is a great combination of the fun of building with LEGO and a beautifully executed theme that will inspire all kinds of open-ended play.

Who It’s For
