Early Learning Workbooks, Flashcards & More Review (Mead)

What It Is

To help moms and dads guide their preschool- and elementary-aged children through the first years of school, Mead offers a variety of Early Learning Products to supplement in-school lessons. Developed and endorsed by professional educators and tested and reviewed by parents, Mead Early Learning Products provide parents with guided instructions, consistent cross-curriculum activities, and age-appropriate cues and content.

The Dry-Erase Learning Boards and Books can be used on the go. Because whatever is on the boards can easily be wiped away with a tissue, these products provide a convenient, reusable, and on-the-go sensory experience while reinforcing foundational handwriting, phonetics, and spelling skills. Each Dry-Erase Learning Board and Book is sold separately and retails between $5.99 and $12.99.

Mead's assortment of flashcards help kids build memory and better grasp basic concepts through repetition. Each set includes 55 cards and reward stickers. Flashcards include Time and Money; Alphabet; Addition; Phonics; Spanish; Sight Words; Colors, Shapes, and Numbers; Subtraction; Multiplication; and Division. Each retails for $3.99.

See and Feel Learn to Letter and Learn to Write Tablets feature ¾-inch ruled pages with raised ruling to help little hands practice writing the alphabet as well as print and cursive words, all while staying in the lines. Each is sold separately and retails between $2.99 and $5.99.

Mead Problem Solving Workbooks are geared toward kids in preschool through 3rd grade with grade-appropriate "problems", ranging from category classification and multiple choice selection to spatial and strategic planning. Each workbook has pictures, mazes, word puzzles, stories, tear-out cards, and an answer key. The workbooks range in price from $3.99 to $6.99.

There are also Comprehensive Learning Workbooks for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. The workbooks include age-appropriate exercises in writing, phonics, basic math, writing process, reading comprehension, science, art, and more. Each is sold separately and retails for $12.99.

Is It Fun?

Some parents are looking for ways to reinforce at home when children are learning at school. From workbooks with grade-specific content to writing tablets that help with proper letter formation, Mead Early Learning Products give parents the right tools to foster an active learning environment outside of the classroom.

Who It’s For

The Mead Early Learning line is for ages 3 and up. However, each Early Learning Product is for a different age and grade. The front of the package tells parents what grade the item is for, so make sure you pay attention to the package and purchase something that is age-appropriate for your child.

What To Be Aware Of

Some of the dry-erase items do not come with a dry-erase marker but are compatible with most dry-erase markers and erasable crayons.
