Disney/Pixar’s Brave Transforming Triplets Review (Mattel)

What It Is

In the new movie Brave, Merida, a tomboy princess, finds the courage to save her mother from a mysterious curse and discovers her own destiny. The curse turns Merida's mother into a bear, and, unfortunately transforms her rambunctious triplet brothers as well. Their antics provide a lot of the comedy in the movie and create a great opportunity for imaginative play. Merida's Transforming Triplets set features two-inch figures of Merida's three younger brothers. Each figure fits inside an accompanying bear figure, so kids can "transform" the brothers into bears, mimicking a key scene in the movie.

Is It Fun?

With the Brave Transforming Triplets set, fans of the movie can recreate scenes featuring Merida's brothers. Kids will like the transformation feature, which brings the action and magic of the movie to life.

Kids will also enjoy the ability to pretend to "act out" through the antics of the brothers. This is a classic play pattern that allows kids through transformation to pretend to do things they know they couldn't in their "natural" state.

Who It’s For

The Transforming Triplets set is for ages 3 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

Placing the figures inside of the bears is a little difficult. Younger children may need parental help.
