SmartMax Basic Stunt Review (Smart USA)

What It Is

The SmartMax Magnetic Discovery line is all about building with magnets. The extra large pieces make it easy for small children to manipulate, and the magnets are strong enough for easy assembly and breakdown of constructions.

Using the pieces in the Basic Stunt set, kids can build vehicles, stunt ramps, and more. The set's instruction booklet provides information about the basics of magnetic phenomena, ways to strengthen structures, and steps in building towers and bridges. Aside from the bridges and towers, the instruction booklet doesn't give step-by-step instructions on how to build anything else. The pictures inside the booklet and on the packaging are meant to give kids inspiration when they start to build. Kids can try to replicate what they see in the pictures or they can build something totally unique. The SmartMax Basic Stunt set comes with 46 pieces: 18 medium bars, four long bars, two cockpits, four pairs of wheels, 10 metal balls, two ramps, two containers, and four panels.

Is It Fun?

The SmartMax Basic Stunt set offers preschoolers a new way to build outside of traditional bricks and blocks. The pieces easily stick together thanks to the magnets and are also easy for small hands to grasp. And because kids can build however and whatever they want, the SmartMax Basic Stunt set engages kids in lots of imaginative and creative play.

Who It’s For

The SmartMax Basic Stunt set is for ages 3 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The pieces in the SmartMax Basic Stunt set are designed to meet and exceed safety requirements. The metal balls are 1.8 inches in diameter, making them large enough to be non-swallowable. Each specially sonic-welded bar has inaccessible magnets encased inside.
