Marvel Superheroes Quinjet Aerial Battle Review (LEGO)

What It Is

With the LEGO Marvel Superheroes Quinjet Aerial Battle building set, kids build the high-tech Quinjet to help Iron Man, Black Widow, and Thor capture Loki in his flying chariot. The set comes with 735 pieces and five minifigures: Black Widow, Iron Man with thruster flames, Thor with hammer, Loki with staff, and a foot soldier. The Quinjet features adjustable wing tips, two opening cockpits with space for two minifigures, a detachable mini-jet, four missiles, a prison pod, and a rear door. Loki's chariot features dual flick missiles and a control platform that raises and lowers. A comic book is also included.

Is It Fun?

This set has a lot of great detail, from the moving pieces to the accessories, that will inspire imaginative play for Marvel fans. The Iron Man minifigure is really cool with its thruster flame elements that make it look like the figure is trailing flames as it "flies". The flames are removable so kids can play with Iron Man on the ground, too. The comic book serves as great inspiration for kids as they create their superhero adventures.

Who It’s For

The Quinjet Aerial Battle building set is for Marvel and The Avengers fans 8–14.

What To Be Aware Of

Because of the high piece count in this set, be prepared to spend a few hours putting this together. (It took us about three hours.) But remember, building is part of the fun of LEGO. The set includes illustrated step-by-step instructions that guide builders through the building process. The pieces are separated into three bags, and each bag has its own assembly booklet. Don't mix the pieces from the different bags together or building will be confusing.
