Learn & Groove Music Player Review (LeapFrog)

What It Is

The Learn & Groove Music Player introduces children to the alphabet, numbers and counting, shapes, and animals through music and active play. LeapFrog's familiar Scout character guides children through four different play and learning modes. Press the active games button to hear Scout ask kids to move to the music in different ways, such as by wiggling. Press the sing-along songs button to hear songs about letters, numbers, shapes, and animals. Press the dance party button to watch Scout and his friends perform different dance moves, encouraging kids to try the moves, too. Press the serenity mode button to bring down the energy level. In this mode, Scout may ask kids to see how slowly they can move or to close their eyes and just listen to the music. Any time kids press the paw button in the center, they will hear sound effects, audio responses, and songs. The Learn & Groove Music Player comes with 20 sing-along and dance tunes.

Is It Fun?

Preschoolers will like that the Learn & Groove Music Player resembles an MP3 player, making them feel just like mom and dad. Kids will also like singing and dancing along with Scout and his friends. This toy engages kids in active play while also exposing them to letters, numbers, and shapes.
