Marvel Superheroes Hulk’s Helicarrier Breakout Review (LEGO)

What It Is

With the Marvel Superheroes Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout building set, kids can engage in building play while they recreate the action from the upcoming The Avengers film. In this set, the Hulk and Thor have Loki captured on board the Avengers' helicarrier. But Loki manages to burst out of the containment cell and escape on the jet fighter. Using the set's 389 pieces, kids build the helicarrier and jet fighter. The helicarrier features an "exploding" containment cell function and a fuel canister holder with firing function. The jet fighter features four flick missiles and an opening cockpit with cockpit blast function. Accessories include two canisters, Loki's staff, Hawkeye's bow and arrow, and Thor's hammer. Three minifigures are included—Loki, Hawkeye, and Thor—as well as a special three-inch Hulk figure. Kids can play out the action they see in the included comic book.

Is It Fun?

There is a lot of great detail in this set that will inspire imaginative play for Marvel fans. Kids, and adult fans, will like the larger Hulk figure because, of course, when the Hulk gets mad, he grows large. The included comic book serves as inspiration for kids as they create their superhero adventures. Kids will enjoy the play as much as the building.

Who It’s For

Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout is for Marvel and The Avengers fans ages 7–14.

What To Be Aware Of

The Hulk figure has moving arms, but its legs do not move.

As with all LEGO building sets, this one comes with step-by-step instructions to guide young builders through the building process. No matter how long it takes you to build, remember that building is part of the fun of LEGO.
