Clump-o-Lumps Review (Knock Knock)

What It Is

Clump-o-Lumps may look like regular stuffed animals, but when you unzip them, you can mix and match them to create different, wacky stuffed animals. Each Clump-o-Lump has two zippers. The top zipper attaches the animal's head to its middle and the bottom zipper attaches the tail and legs to the middle. When you unzip both zippers, you get three separate pieces: head, middle, and bottom. Zip a tiger head onto a bird's middle and bird legs onto a tiger's middle. Kids can stack and zip as many pieces as they want to create really tall stuffed animals. Clump-o-Lump animals include Bee-o the Bee, Tig-o the Tiger, Squid-o the Squid, Bird-o the Bird, Frog-o the Frog, and Shark-o the Shark. Each is sold separately.

Is It Fun?

Each Clump-o-Lump is cute and cuddly, but the ability to mix and match the pieces adds a unique play pattern to traditional stuffed animals. Kids, and even adults, will like creating unique animal creatures or one really tall Clump-o-Lump. There are lots of open-ended play opportunities that kids will like coming back to again and again.

Who It’s For

Clump-o-Lumps are for ages 2–10. Sometimes the zippers can be hard to move, so younger children might need help from an adult.

What To Be Aware Of

When you unzip the parts, the inside is red with a circular white spot in the middle. This represents blood and bone, which some parents might find kind of disturbing. As parents, you know what's best for your children, so it's up to you to decide whether or not you bring Clump-o-Lumps into your home.
