LEGO Technic Jet Plane Review (LEGO)

What It Is

The LEGO Technic Jet Plane is a 499-piece building set that lets kids build a jet plane, then rebuild it into an aerobatic plane. As a jet plane, kids can operate the retractable landing gear and working ailerons, then sweep back the wings and go supersonic. Kids can also turn the gear in the middle of the plane to open and close the cockpit. The aerobatic plane features a rotating propeller.

Is It Fun?

The LEGO Technic Jet Plane building set includes rods, gears, and other moveable pieces that add levels of play and action to the model. This is an intriguing set that will reward builders with an action-packed model.

Who It’s For

The LEGO Technic Jet Plane is for ages 9–16. LEGO's Technic line caters more to advanced builders who enjoy the challenge of creating authentic models with detailed functionality that mimic their real-world counterparts.

What To Be Aware Of

This sturdy model can stand up to a lot of play, but builders will want to pay attention to the positioning of all gears so that the actions work correctly.

As with all LEGO sets, the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

You'll only be able to build one plane model at a time. So if you build the jet plane and want to build the aerobatic plane, you'll have to disassemble the jet plane.
