LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants The Flying Dutchman Review (LEGO)

What It Is

In LEGO's latest SpongeBob SquarePants building set, Captain SpongeBob and his first mate Patrick have found an old map and are searching for treasure. However, The Flying Dutchman shows up on his ghostly ship, and Patrick and SpongeBob must use the bubble blaster to keep him at bay. With the 241 pieces in The Flying Dutchman building set, kids will build a pirate ship with a plank, sail, and crow's nest (lookout) and a small island with a boardwalk, treasure chest, and bubble blaster cannon that shoots plastic blue pieces meant to represent bubbles. Accessories include a treasure map, two cutlasses, a shovel, and a bag of souls. Three minfigures are included: Pirate SpongeBob, Pirate Patrick, and The Flying Dutchman.

Is It Fun?

The Flying Dutchman building set lets kids bring the wacky adventures on SpongeBob SquarePants to life in LEGO form. Fans of the show will recognize this scene and will like being able to build it and play out the action. This is a great way for SpongeBob fans to interact with toy versions of the characters they like watching on TV.

Who It’s For

The Flying Dutchman building set is for SpongeBob fans ages 6–12.

It will appeal to the LEGO player who enjoys the active play as much as the building.

What To Be Aware Of
