LEGO Creator Mini Sports Car Review (LEGO)

What It Is

The building sets in LEGO's Creator line let kids build three different models with each set. With the Mini Sports Car set, kids can build a mini sports car with a racing stripe and rear spoiler. Then they can rebuild the car into a super go-cart or flatbed truck. All 70 pieces come in a reusable storage can.

Is It Fun?

There's a lot of versatility and creativity in this building set. For kids, it's like getting three toys in one. And, of course, building and rebuilding is part of the LEGO play. In addition to creating three different models, LEGO also offers tons of opportunities for open-ended, creative play, so while the three models in the set are suggested builds, who knows what kids will come up with? And that's a big part of the fun.

Who It’s For

The Mini Sports Car set is for ages 6–12, according to LEGO.

It will most likely appeal to kids who enjoy the building and rebuilding aspect of LEGO play, rather than strictly build and play or build and display.

What To Be Aware Of

Even though you can build three vehicles with this set, you can only build one at a time. So if you have built the mini sports car and want to build the flatbed truck, you'll have to disassemble the sports car.
