Go Piggy Go! Review (Mattel)

What It Is

Go Piggy Go! is a racing board game for two to four players. The object is to be the first player to get three piggies of the same color across the board from the mudpit to the fresh veggies. The game comes with a game board, 12 plastic piggies, a wolf in a tractor, three hay bales, a die, and instructions. Each player chooses a color and takes turns rolling the die and moving their piggies that number of spaces. Piggies can be stacked if a player lands on a space that already has a pig on it. Stacked piggies move together but the top piggy can move off, while the bottom piggy has to move along with the top one.

If a player rolls a tractor, he or she can choose to move two spaces or take control of the tractor and be the big bad wolf for a turn. As the wolf, the player launches hay bales at other players' pigs to try to knock them out of the competition and send them back to the mudpit.

Is It Fun?

Kids will enjoy making their piggies race to the finish and will have a blast launching hay bales at their opponents. With a sweet theme, great graphics, and silly play pieces, Go Piggy Go! is a nice reminder that the kinds of board games parents and grandparents grew up with are still a lot of fun.

Who It’s For

Go Piggy Go! is for ages 5 and up.
