Air Huntress Firetek Bow Review (Zing)

What It Is

The Air Huntress Firetek Bow takes Zing's classic bow-and-arrow toy and adds lights. This pink-and-purple set comes with a light-up bow and three Zonic Blaze arrows that make a whistling sound as they fly through the air. Squeeze the bow handle and the bow lights up. Flip the switch on each arrow to light them up, too. Attach an arrow to the bungee cords of the bow, pull back, let go, and watch the arrow light up the sky as it soars up to 145 feet.

Is It Fun?

This is another great bow-and-arrow toy from Zing that combines the easy-to-use and safe bungee cord launcher with the simple innovation of light. The darts fly really well and really far, and they look really cool when flying through the dark.

Who It’s For

The Air Huntress Firetek Bow is for ages 8 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

There is no battery information on the package, but two AAA batteries are included for the bow. Each of the arrows includes two button cell batteries, but those are not replaceable. Zing says the arrows' batteries should last for about 72 hours.

Even though this lights up, it's not for use in complete darkness.

This pink-and-purple bow is obviously geared toward girls, but there is also a green-and-red Air Storm Firetek Bow, sold separately, that is supposed to be the "boy" version, but girls can play with it, too, of course, if they like the colors on that one better.

The Air Huntress Firetek Bow is available exclusively at Walmart.
