Disney Frozen Ice Skating Anna Review (Mattel)

What It Is

The Disney Frozen Ice Skating Anna doll from Mattel brings to life the celebratory ice skating scene at the end of the film, Frozen. The 12-inch tall Anna doll features a skating outfit inspired by the film along with skates and moveable arms and legs. One leg is outstretched to balance on the other leg as Anna skates. The doll's balancing foot features a wheel on the skate, which can be locked into the included snow flake-shaped skating base to help her skate along, although it's not required. The doll features two skating moves: the forward lean and an upright skating position. The doll moves rapidly between the two moves as you push her forward and backward.

Is It Fun?

We were a bit disappointed with the actual movements of the doll. Because the doll moves between the two skating moves so rapidly, it looks more like Anna is constantly bracing to fall rather than skating. Had the doll held these positions longer we think would have given it a better look. But Frozen fans and collectors, in particular, will still likely use the doll for imaginative play and display.

Who It’s For

The Disney Frozen Ice Skating Anna doll is for ages 4 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

If at any time the skate locks up and won't move forward, simply reset it by pulling her balancing leg back until you hear a click.

The doll does not stand on its own.
