Bubble Ball is a wearable, inflatable ball that you blow up and put on kind of like a knapsack, and then you can bounce around or into walls or into other people who are also wearing a Bubble Ball. It's easy to slip the Bubble Ball over your shoulders, although you might need help from someone not wearing a Bubble Ball to fasten the shoulder straps. Hold onto the handles on the inside as you run around. When you're done playing, deflate the ball and put it back into its carrying case.
This is silly, interactive, and physical fun for kids and adults of all ages. And you are going to sweat. This is a workout carrying this around and wearing it. But we've hardly seen anything that is so much fun for active people who want to get out and be silly.
However, these are expensive. The large one is about $250 and the smaller one is $199, but there are places around the country, such as Chelsea Piers in New York City, where you can rent Bubble Balls by the hour.
Bubble Balls are for ages 7 and up. The smaller Bubble Ball is for people with a maximum height of 5 feet 7 inches. Anyone taller than that should wear a large Bubble Ball.
The Bubble Ball is heavy. You'll need a bit of muscle power to carry it around. And depending on your physical ability and your size, wearing a Bubble Ball is going to be either a challenge or easy.
Once it's inflated, it doesn't go through doors, so to get it outside, you're going to need to take it to the field where you're going and inflate it there. To inflate, you'll need an electronic air pump, which is not included.
You can purchase Bubble Balls to use at home or rent them from a location throughout the U.S.
