The Zoomer Dino from Spin Master is a follow-up to its Zoomer dog, which was introduced in 2013. Zoomer Dino is fully electronic and measures about 16 inches from nose to tail. The toy features an internal battery, which is charged by a USB with the included cable and comes with a control pod. You can tell Zoomer Dino's moods and/or modes based on the color of its eyes: green is for happy, blue is for curious, purple is for gesture commands, yellow is for control pod mode, and red is for angry. The toy behaves differently in each mode. In gesture mode, the sensor in its head reads your gestures and responds accordingly. Pull its tail or shake its head, for example, to make Zoomer Dino angry. The control pod adds another dimension to play, allowing you to control its movements, such as Zoomer Dino's chomping mouth.
The electronics are fairly sophisticated and the variety of play modes keep it interesting. It will appeal most to tech geeks and kids who like R/C vehicles.
We do, however, suggest spending some time with the instructions. They are clear, but you'll have a better experience if you get to know all Zoomer Dino can do before you start playing.
Zoomer Dino is for ages 5 and up.
Zoomer works best on smooth surfaces and low pile carpet.
Zoomer also works best when given a large enough environment to roam and interact within.
The toy features an internal battery, which is charged by a USB with the included cable.
Three AAA batteries are required to operate the control pod.
