The Hexbug Transformers Warriors Battle Stadium is a circular playset where kids can battle the new battery-operated Hexbug Transformers Warriors. The Battle Stadium comes with two Hexbug Transformers Warriors-Lockdown and Optimus Prime-and additional Hexbug Transformers can be purchased separately. The hidden pop-up door on each Hexbug Transformers Warrior tells you whether your Hexbug is Decepticon or Autobot. Each Hexbug includes battle armor that can be mixed and matched with armor from other Hexbugs, allowing kids to customize their Hexbug for battle against any other Hexbug Transformer.
Turn on your Hexbugs and let them loose in the Battle Stadium. You can either place them in the stadium by hand or set them on top of the red battle platform and open the platform to drop the Hexbugs into battle. The Hexbugs use vibrations to move around and run into each other. Each Hexbug has a light-up damage sensor that changes from green to red and blinks rapidly as your Hexbug's health decreases in battle. When your Hexbug stops moving, you're out of the battle.
This is a cool way for kids to play with Hexbugs and Transformers. Kids will like the customizable aspect of the battle play, and, as with all Hexbugs, watching these robotic creatures skitter around is pretty cool.
The Hexbug Transformers Warriors Battle Stadium is for ages 6 and up.
This set comes with four button cell batteries, two per Hexbug.
It took us 10 minutes to put together this set, and the instructions were easy to follow.
Sometimes the Hexbugs get stuck on the arms of the Battle Stadium, and you'll need to give them a nudge to move them along. Also, it seemed that most of the "damage" sustained by our Hexbugs happened when the Hexbugs ran into the sides of the Battle Stadium instead of each other.
