Kids use their arms to propel forward the Radio Flyer Cyclone, a ride-on that has two 16-inch wheels with molded handgrips on the inside. Hold the handgrips and spin the wheels forward or backward to set this in motion. The Cyclone features a footrest, a sturdy rear caster wheel, an ergonomic seat, and a steel frame.
This ride-on looks cool and certainly offers exercise to young riders, but there's a bit of a learning curve to riding. Kids really need a good amount of arm strength to turn the wheels and then figure out the technique to turn and spin the Cyclone. In the end, it was more tiring than fun.
The Cyclone is for ages 3-7 with a maximum weight limit of 69 pounds.
Assembly is required, and some of the instructions were confusing as to the direction that the pieces needed to face.
Radio Flyer recommends that kids wear shoes, a helmet, kneepads, and elbow pads when riding this toy. Adult supervision is also recommended.
