Bubbles the Learning Whale Review (VTech)

What It Is

Bubbles the Learning Whale is a bathtub toy that attaches to your tub wall via two built-in suction cups. Through playful rhymes and sing-along songs, this toy helps develop early language skills and introduces babies to first words, colors, sea animals, and more. The bubble whale's light-up mouth flashes with voice, sound, and music responses while more than 40 melodies, songs, sounds, and phrases play as kids press the five sea animal buttons. This waterproof bath toy features a bubble spout for bubble-blowing fun, but the toy does not include bubble solution.

Is It Fun?

This is a cute way to bring some fun to bathtime, especially for young and/or reluctant bathers. The lights, sounds, and music engage babies as they play and push the buttons, providing visual and tactile stimulation. Just make sure that you're putting it at a height where it is easy for your baby to reach the buttons while sitting in the tub.

Who It’s For

Bubbles the Learning Whale is for ages 12–36 months.

What To Be Aware Of

Four AA batteries are included for the in-store try-me features. It's recommended that you replace them before you play for best results.

This toy does include volume control.

The bubble-blowing mechanism is a little loud, so if you're playing with bubbles, you might want to turn the volume to its highest level. If you don't want to play with bubbles, you can turn off the bubble blower.

Children should always have adult supervision while in the bathtub.
