Shredz Review (Coop)

What It Is

Shredz is a new line of collectible, poseable snowboarder action figures that can actually ride on snow. There are seven characters to collect: Mason, Chase, Shane, Justin, Brody, Brett, and Luke. Each 3.75-inch figure comes with a removable helmet and custom snowboard. Each character has a home mountain and story that kids can read about on the included ID card. Each figure is sold separately and retails for about $9.95.

The figures can be used on their own in the snow, but there are a variety of track-building tools, jumps, and incline ramps for carving trails and designing snow jumps for the figures. The Shredz Big Air Jump lets kids create aerial tricks for their Shredz snowboarders. Use the jump alone or use it to create sculpted snow jumps. It retails for $7.95.

The Shredz Track Maker helps kids construct smooth trails in the snow. Use the scoop to carve the mountain and create a course for the figures. It retails for about $10.95.

The Shredz Xtreme Terrain Park Trick Set comes with three accessories for designing the ultimate tricks: a jump for getting big air, a flat box for gliding, and a rainbow box for grinding. Kids can use the accessories alone in the snow or use them to create a sculpted snow terrain park. The rainbow box has a hinged lid so kids can open it and store their Shredz snowboarder inside. The Xtreme Terrain Park Trick Set retails for about $16.95.

No Shredz snowboarder figures are included with the Shredz accessories.

Is It Fun?

Shredz will appeal to kids who are snowboarding fans or who want cool action figures to play with in the snow. Even if there is no snow, the action figures, tools, and accessories still work on their own, so kids can set up a snow park any time of year.
