Handminton Review (Geospace)

What It Is

Handminton is a no-racket Badminton game. There is no set-up required. Simply open the box, and take out the two foam paddles and the birdie. Place your fingers (thumb, pointer, middle, and pinkie) through the elastic bands on the back of the foam paddles. They are designed to fit all hand sizes. Then toss the birdie in the air and hit it with your paddle to your opponent. No net is required. The soft, foam design makes Handminton appropriate for indoor and outdoor play.

Is It Fun?

Badminton can be a hard game to play for some, but Handminton simplifies the gameplay. All kids and adults have to do is slip a hand onto the foam paddle and see how long they can smack the birdie back and forth. It's a great way to get kids having fun while being active inside or outside.

Who It’s For

Handminton is for ages 5 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

It's easier to control the birdie with the hand paddles, however, you don't get the same force as traditional Badminton rackets. If you're playing outside, the distance between players will need to be shorter than in a normal Badminton game. If you have a regular Badminton net, this game will not work because you have to be too close to the net and the net needs to be lower. If you're looking for this to replace Badminton rackets, it won't do the job.
