Illumivor Mecha-Shark Review (Fashion Accessory Bazaar)

What It Is

The Illumivor Mecha-Shark is a light-up R/C toy from Skyrocket Toys. This radio-controlled shark features animated chomping teeth, a moving tail, and ominous shark sound effects. Extend the antenna on your Shark Fin Controller and turn on the toy. In the dark, the glowing features—glowing teeth, red eyes, and the neon blue outline of the shark—come to life. The animation works like a traditional neon sign as the lights appear to move between different tubes on the body of the shark. With the controller, you can make the shark move forward, backward, left and right as well as go into attack mode. In attack mode, the shark will start chomping its teeth and swiftly moving its tail back and forth.

Is It Fun?

In the dark, the Illumivor Shark really does appear to "swim" across the floor like an actual shark. It's very dramatic and engaging—not to mention really fun.

Who It’s For

The Illumivor Mecha-Shark is for ages 6 and up. It could also make a good gift for Shark Week fans of all ages.

What To Be Aware Of

Six AA batteries are required for the shark and one 9-volt battery is required for the remote control. Batteries are not included.

The antenna must be fully extended on the controller in order to work properly.

The Illumivor Mecha-Shark's light-up features are best seen in the dark.

The Illumivor Mech-Shark is available exclusively at Toys "R" Us.
