Weekend Box Office: Hansel & Gretel Have Fairy Tale Opening

Despite it’s laughable premise, terrible reviews and American-accented Hansel and Gretel, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters took in $19 million in it’s opening weekend and easily claimed the #1 spot on the Top 10 list. The weekend’s other two new releases – Movie 43 and Parker – both bombed with Parker earning $7 million and Movie 43 taking in an abysmal $5 million…Yikes!

Here is The Top 10 for the weekend of January 25 – 27, 2013:

2. Mama ($12,860,000)
