Weekend Box Office: Audiences Were Hungry But Not For Pie

The Hunger Games fought off the competition once again and held onto the #1 spot at the box office for a third week in a row. The movie took in another $33.5 million, bringing it’s total gross to date to $302,839,000. Wow! Two new (sort of) movies opened over the weekend and took the #2 and #3 spots at the box office. American Reunion, the 8th movie in the American Pie series (for real), earned $21.5 million and Titanic 3D took in a little over $17 million.
