No Good Deed, a mystery/thriller, debuted in #1 with an impressive $24.5 million. That’s the second best September debut ever. #1 belongs to the 3D re-release of The Lion King. Opening in 2nd place was the family-friendly sequel, Dolphin Tale 2, which debuted to $16.6 million. With no direct competition opening and decent reviews, Dolphin Tale 2 should continue to perform well.

After three weeks in a row at #1, Guardians of the Galaxy dropped to #3 with another $8 million earned at the box office. Guardians glided past the $300 million mark in North America, and has now taken in $305.9 Million. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles followed Guardians in 4th. The Ninja Turtles total to date is now $181 million.

TTPM (that’s us) has reviews of the toys for Guardians and Ninja Turtles. You can see the reviews for Guardians of the Galaxy by clicking here and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles here.
