The Magic School Bus Engineering Lab Review (The Young Scientists Club)

The Magic School Bus Engineering Lab
What It Is

The Magic School Bus Engineering Lab kit from the Young Scientists Club is a science kit that lets kids tackle many simple experiments to find the solutions to various questions, such as "How can you cook s'mores if you don't have a stove, grill, or campfire?" But instead of simply telling kids how, kids complete related experiments and combine their knowledge from each to form a hypothesis to answer Ms. Frizzle's question, and test their theory.

The fun and functional bus-shaped storage box also holds all the materials and instructions inside and using the handy data book, kids can keep track of their research. The bus comes with 33 colorful experiment cards, the data notebook, and science components such as a solar panel, motor, buzzer, electric wires, and more.

Is It Fun?

The easy to read, colorful cards help to guide kids through these short but informative experiments in a way that keeps kids engaged and wanting to learn more. With buzzers, motors, electric wires, and more, this is a fun kit to engage kids in engineering and also grow with a child as their knowledge builds.

Who It’s For

The Magic School Bus Engineering Lab is for ages 5 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

Parent supervision is required for many of the included activities and experiments.

Not all required materials are included, but those that aren't can usually be found easily around the house and are marked as such with a "house" symbol in the experiment guides.
