Play-Doh Hands on Learning: Under The Sea Review (Silver Dolphin Books)

Play-Doh Hands on Learning: Under The Sea
What It Is

With the activity book Play-Doh Hands on Learning: Under the Sea, preschoolers can read about ocean animals and learn how to make them out of Play-Doh. The 10-page book comes with four one-ounce cans of Play-Doh. After kids read fun facts about different ocean animals and look at the cool Play-Doh sculptures of them, they'll find illustrations that show how to make an octopus, a sea star, a sea horse, a clownfish, and a shark. The sea creatures also prompt kids to complete scenes by adding Play-Doh compound to the page. The book is written by Susan Amerikaner and illustrated by Kara Kenna.

Is It Fun?

This book combines reading with a fun tactile project. Kids will have fun making different ocean animals and other creative Play-Doh sea creatures.

Who It’s For

Play-Doh Hands on Learning: Under the Sea is for ages 3 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The illustrated instructions are not very specific, and so younger kids might need help interpreting them.

This book doesn't come with enough Play-Doh for kids to make all five ocean animals at once, but you can always add Play-Doh that you already have at home. The book also doesn't include all of the colors of Play-Doh shown in the instructions, but kids can get creative and use whatever colors they want.
