Tangoes Brainiac offers 54 challenging puzzles based on ancient Chinese Tangram puzzles. The object is to form the image on the card using seven Tangoes puzzle pieces. The game comes with two sets of seven puzzle pieces, 54 challenge cards, solutions, game rules, and a storage box. To play, choose a challenge card. The bottom right corner of the card will tell you whether or not you need one set of puzzle pieces or two. Try to duplicate the design shown using all seven (or 14) pieces. The solution is shown on the bottom on the back of each card. The game can be played independently or you can challenge a friend to see who can solve the puzzle in the least amount of time. The Tangoes pieces can also be used to create abstract designs, human forms, animals, or whatever kids want to create.
Like all Tangoes products, this game combines artistic and mathematical elements to enhance visual perception and help kids develop problem-solving skills and creative thinking. Unless you're already familiar with how to play Tangoes, it may take some time for you to catch on how to play Tangoes Brainiac, but that's part of the fun and play. As you rotate the pieces and identify the shapes needed, you'll get the hang of it and have fun solving these engaging puzzles.
Tangoes Brainiac is for ages 7 and up.
The challenges are not divided into difficulty levels so that you can start off easy and progress to harder challenges, but it might help you start with the single set puzzles before trying the double set puzzles.
