The Runaway Hug
What It Is

In The Runaway Hug, written by Nick Bland and illustrated by Freya Blackwood, Lucy asks her mother for a hug. Her mother jokes that she only has one hug left, and Lucy promises to borrow it and give it back. After hugging her mother, Lucy shares the hug with her father, twin brothers, and baby sister, each time receiving the hug back. But then Lucy hugs the family dog, and the dog runs away with the hug. Will Lucy be able to get the hug back from the dog so she can return the hug to her mom at bedtime?
