Barbie Potty Trainin' Taffy Review (Mattel)

Barbie Potty Trainin' Taffy
What It Is

Kids love Barbie and kids love pets, so bringing them together with the Barbie Potty Trainin' Taffy seems like a no-brainer. (Barbie and pets have a long history together, actually.)

In this latest toy, kids can help Barbie take care of her dog Taffy with a level of realism that's both fun and, yes, very funny. Learning to take care of a pet is an important part of pet ownership, and Barbie can pretend to walk Taffy, feed her, and clean up after the inevitable. Press down on Taffy's head to feed the dog a treat, and then when the inevitable needs to happen, push down on Taffy's tail. Of course, responsible pet owners always clean up after their pooches, so the set comes with a Barbie-style pooper scooper to do the job and a trash can for the poop. This simple mechanism is easy for kids to work. Place the poop in the pouch on Taffy's side and open the compartment on the other side to retrieve the treats after they've been fed to Taffy. You can start all over again after that.

Is It Fun?

This is age-appropriate play with a favorite theme and just the right level of realism to keep Barbie and pet fans engaged and playing.

Who It’s For

Barbie Potty Trainin' Taffy is for ages 4 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The Barbie doll does not stand on its own, and its hands are molded to hold the leash and the pooper scooper.
