With the Barbie Hair Tattoos, kids can decorate Barbie's hair with 13 cool hair tattoos. Seat the doll in the salon chair and choose the tattoo you want. Then, clip the tattoo strip to Barbie's hair, wet it with the included spray bottle, and use the no-heat flat-iron tool to swipe and transfer the tattoos to Barbie's hair. This also comes with hair clips to style Barbie's hair and a heart-shaped hand mirror so that Barbie can check out her new 'do. When you're ready to start over, just wash out the doll's hair with soap and warm water, let it dry, and tattoo it again.
Playing with Barbie's hair is such a classic way for girls to play with their Barbies, and while we like the idea of adding creativity and design to that play, we wish it was a little easier to do. This is a very messy toy. The ink on the tattoo strips runs when you wet it, getting all over your play surface, your hands, and the Barbie doll. The tattoos easily wash out of Barbie's hair, but it's going to take a little more scrubbing to get it off your hands. The chair has a suction cup on the bottom to keep the chair in place and the doll secure while kids work. However, our suction cup didn't stick at all, which made tattooing our doll's hair very difficult. We were able to make color transfer to Barbie's hair but never the pattern.
Barbie Hair Tattoos is for ages 5 and up.
For best results, keep the spray bottle three inches away from the tattoo design when spraying.
The tattoo strips are for use on Barbie's hair only.
This doll is also available in an African-American version.
