OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

The Baseball and Tennis Pitcher requires some minor assembly out of the box, but it's nothing too difficult. For full functionality, you'll need a lot of batteries, none of which are included. Four D batteries go into the base, three AAAs go into the hopper sensor, and two optional AAAs go in the bat for remote control access. Thankfully, there's an "auto" option on the hopper, so if you're short by two AAAs, that's ok. Set up the pitcher at chest level, turn on the base and sensor, then stand back. The pitcher will fire a distance of 10 feet before arcing downward. The bat has a good feel, whereas the tennis racket feels just a tad too flexible. However, it does a serviceable job. You get three tennis balls and three baseballs, but both have a similar size and weight.

Next up we have the Mini Golf Trainer. No batteries necessary for this one! Simply assemble the golf ball slide, feeding ramp, foot pedal, and tee. You get an adjustable club with 3 different heads, a left and right handed wood, as well as an ambidextrous putter. Press down on the foot pedal to lower the ramp and tee the next ball. Wait a moment for the ball to stabilize, then release the pedal. Just like that, you're ready to swing! The automatic teeing feature is not only convenient, but fun to do. It's almost more fun than hitting the ball, to tell the truth. Once you're finished, you can store the golf balls underneath the base. Careful though, it holds in place only with gravity.

Is It Fun?

Both the RC 2 in 1 Baseball and Tennis Pitching Machine and Mini Golf Trainer make practicing easy and fun with their semi-automated functions.
