OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Get hands-on with learning thanks to educational activity sets that help young children with numbers and letters. Each set is sold separately.

FunPlay Number Rods comes with 74 pieces and 25 activity cards to help kids with counting from one to ten, addition, measurement, and more. Some of the cards encourage kids to turn the number rods into creative designs, linking art and math. Play in the Messy Tray to keep the pieces contained.

With the GeoStix Letter Construction Set, kids use the colorful pieces to create both capital and lowercase letters. Put those letters together to spell words. There are 10 different lengths and shapes of the flexible GeoStix pieces, and they easily snap together. Kids can also use them to create objects, such as a dinosaur and a truck. Each of the 25 activity cards shows kids what parts they'll need to complete the task.

Is It Fun?

Both of these educational toys will make a nice addition to your at-home learning curriculum, whether you're homeschooling or looking to supplement learning outside of school. These give kids a hands-on way to understand and see early math and writing concepts. And the tactile play of both sets is a nice way to help preschoolers develop fine motor skills.
