OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Build a Christmas countdown with new 2020 LEGO Advent Calendars. There are multiple styles to choose from, including LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Friends, and LEGO City. Each one includes 24 surprises that are revealed one by one as you go through each day of the month of December.

There are 311 pieces in the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, model number 75279. Behind each door you might find a LEGO minifigure or a buildable starship, vehicle, or location. There will also be a code to unlock Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga game content. Because this is Christmas-themed, some of the figures will be wearing festive garments, and kids can play with everything they unbox on the fold-out playmat with an image of the Millennium Falcon with Christmas lights on it.

The LEGO Friends Advent Calendar, model number 41420, has 236 pieces with a buildable surprise hiding behind each door. Everything kids unbox belongs to one of three themes: Emma's room, Santa's toy workshop, and a winter wonderland. Kids can play with the models on the fold-out playmat or use what they've built as festive room decor.

The new LEGO City Advent Calendar, model number 60268, has 342 pieces and a snowy city playmat. Kids can build their own Christmas scenes with accessories and buildable vehicles, as well as collect six minifigures based on the LEGO City TV series.
