OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Tamagotchi On is expanding with a new Wonder Garden theme, and you can collect it in either a lavender graphic shell or a turquoise graphic shell. No matter which one you choose, you'll get to nurture a Tamagotchi character and explore Tamagotchi Planet.

There are activities in the new Wonder Garden theme that are the same as in the original Tamagotchi On Magic and Fairy themes. You still have a digital colored screen, and you're still growing a Tamagotchi from baby to child and teenager to adult. Feed it, clean up after it, help it make friends, get a pet, go shopping, and make sure it doesn't get sick and die. (You can reset it if that happens.) Your Tamagotchi can even get married and have babies. Connect it to the free Tamagotchi On app to connect with a friend's Tamagotchi, play games, and more.

The Wonder Garden theme in particular, though, comes with an exclusive land, two exclusive characters, and a new home screen, room, accessories, items, meals, and snacks. New games include Library, where kids have to count how many books Otogitchi lends out, and Dressmaker, where you have to press the A button as many times as you can to give your Tamagotchi enough energy to sew a dress. Playing these games gives you more Gotchi points for buying items, accessories, and food for your Tamagotchi character.

All of the on-screen action is controlled using the three buttons on the device.

Is It Fun?

Wonder Garden just adds even more to do with Tamagotchi On. Even if you already have one of the original Magic or Fairy Tamagotchi On themes, you'll probably still want Wonder Garden because of its exclusive new features. But whether or not this is your first foray into the world of Tamagotchi On, you'll still like the nurturing pet play, the interactivity with the digital pet, and the connectivity between your device and the app or your device and a friend's.

Who It’s For

Tamagotchi On Wonder Garden is for ages 6 and up. This will be fun for kids who like playing with digital pets.
