OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Cry Babies Goodnight Coney can't go to sleep until she stops crying. Give the doll her pacifier to stop those tears. Dressed in a furry white bunny onesie with floppy ears, Coney cries like the other Cry Babies dolls, except this nighttime doll's tears are lights on her cheeks.

When you turn on the doll, you'll hear crying sounds and see light-up tears fall down the doll's cheeks. Place the pacifier in the doll's mouth to stop the tears and crying. You'll hear sucking sound effects. Press her tummy to play one of five lullabies while Coney's head glows. When the lullaby finishes, Coney's light will go off.

The crying and tears will start again if the pacifier is taken away. However, the doll will only cry for about 30 seconds before stopping if the pacifier is not replaced. The pink pacifier is attached to the doll's pajamas so it won't get lost. While the hood can be removed, the doll's pajamas are not removable.

There's also a silent play mode that still has the doll lighting up but without the sound effects.

Is It Fun?

This brings the Cry Babies fun to bedtime, encouraging nurturing play as little mommies and daddies give Coney her pacifier to soothe her to sleep. And the lights in Coney's head and the built-in lullabies might also help soothe kids to sleep, too. We also think that parents will like that this doll doesn't require the use of water, unlike with the other Cry Babies baby dolls, so there's less mess when kids play.

Who It’s For

Goodnight Coney is for ages 18 months and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The doll includes three AAA batteries for the try-me features, so you might want to replace them before you play for best results.

It can be tricky for kids to stick the pacifier in the doll's mouth all the way and remove the pacifier. Same with removing and replacing the hood. Parents will need to help out with this.
