Operation Pet Scan and Trolls World Tour Tiny Dancers Rainbow Edition Review (Hasbro)

Operation Pet Scan and Trolls World Tour Tiny Dancers Rainbow Edition
What It Is

To play Operation: Pet Scan, you'll have to successfully remove Rex-Ray's ailments. Rex-Ray ate a dog bone, bunny slippers, socks, homework, and more silly things, and it's up to your steady hand to get those things out. Unlike traditional Operation, you're not removing items from cavities in the game board. Instead, the magnetic dog-o-scope guides the item through the dog's mouth and belly to his tail end. If the buzzer sounds, that doesn't necessarily end your turn. If the ailment is still in the dog's belly, you can keep going. But if the ailment falls out of the dog's stomach, then your turn is over. Each ailment you successfully navigate and remove out the tail end counts as a point, and once all the ailments have been removed, the player with the most points wins. This game also plays sound effects, such as bark and fart sounds, when you press Rex-Ray's nose.

Trolls World Tour fans will like collecting some of their favorite movie characters with the Tiny Dancers Rainbow Edition set. It comes in a turntable-inspired package with 36 pieces in an exclusive rainbow finish. There are 12 Tiny Dancers figures that shimmy and shake, and you can attach some to the 10 barrettes or the fingertip rings to make them move. When you open up the box, eight of the figures will be visible, including Poppy, Barb, Trollex, and Branch. The other four are hiding inside the four pairs of sunglasses. Unfold the sunglasses to reveal the other figures, and then wear the sunglasses for dress-up.

Is It Fun?

Operation: Pet Scan is a new take on the classic skill-and-action game, one that will appeal to young animal lovers. The silly sounds that play as kids move the ailments through the dog's tummy are hilariously suited to the target age range. And kids will also like hearing the celebratory music play once they've successfully removed an ailment.

As for the Tiny Dancer Rainbow Edition, this is a fun way to collect more Tiny Dancers. Kids will love accessorizing the rings, barrettes, and sunglasses so they can wear and display their favorite Trolls characters.
