OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Don't worry if you missed celebrating Star Wars Day this year. Every day can be Star Wars Day with Hasbro's new lineup of Star Wars The Vintage Collection and The Black Series action figures.

The 3.75-inch The Vintage Collection includes characters from The Empire Strikes Back, such as Luke Skywalker (Bespin), See-Threepio (C-3PO), Han Solo (Bespin), and General Lando Calrissian. Additional 3.75-inch figures in The Vintage Collection include The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, a Remnant Stormtrooper, and a Clone Trooper. Each is sold separately and comes in throwback packaging with the Kenner logo. Most of the figures come with weapon accessories, such as blasters and lightsabers. And all of them feature multiple points of articulation: heads, arms, elbows, wrists, waist, legs, knees, and ankles. At such a small size, these action figures feature a lot of detail, such as texture to mimic the fabric of the clothing and weapon holsters that can actually hold the accessories.

The new six-inch scale The Black Series figures include a variety of characters across the Star Wars galaxy: Count Dooku, Knight of Ren, Sith Jet Trooper, Luke Skywalker (Yavin Ceremony), Clone Commander Bly, and Zorii Bliss. Each is sold separately. These figures come in numbered packaging, with each figure's number printed on the side and back of the box. Also on the back of the box, fans can read a brief character description. Out of the box, these action figures are very poseable, with moving heads, arms, elbows, wrists, waists, legs, knees, and ankles. Accessories with each figure allow fans to create dynamic poses for display. And the detail on each action figure is outstanding, from the weathered look on the Knight of Ren's black coat to the facial sculpts that so closely resemble the actors.

Is It Fun?

As always, Hasbro's Star Wars action figures don't disappoint. Older fans and collectors will like adding more characters to their collections, and they'll really appreciate the attention to detail that brings these favorite characters to life. All of these action figures are for ages 4 and up, though, and there's a lot for young Star Wars fans to like, too, namely the poseability that allows kids to pose and play out all sorts of action-packed intergalactic adventures.
