OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

The new Mila 5-inch 720p High Definition Video Baby Monitor is designed to be a dependable and durable system. It doesn't rely on wifi or Bluetooth. Instead, it uses Gigaxtreme wireless technology for a 1,000-foot range, providing an uninterrupted signal between walls and floors.

Inside the box for the two-camera system, you get two cameras, a parent unit, wall mounting hardware, three USB cords, and three A/C adapters. (A single-camera system is also available.)

The two cameras have pan, tilt, and zoom functions, so you can always keep your child in view. Use the parent unit to remotely adjust the cameras with a 330-degree pan, 90-degree tilt, and two times zoom. The 720p high-resolution cameras also have ClearVu advanced optics, so you can actually see your child. You can expand the Mila with up to four cameras. When multiple cameras are connected, the parent unit offers split and quad screen viewing options.

Some of the features include temperature sensor and alerts, night vision up to 16 feet, Talk to Baby two-way communication, and the ability to play five pre-set sounds, including lullabies, white noise, and nature sounds, to soothe baby to sleep.

The parent unit has a five-inch LCD panel screen and three power-saving modes: Audio Only, Audio Detection, and Always On. With continuous audio and video usage, you get about eight hours of battery life. However, using the other modes, the parent unit can last 22 hours without a charge.

Why Is It Useful?

One of the pros of this baby monitor is that you can add extra cameras, perfect for your growing family. We also like the long battery life when you use one of the two energy-saving modes. It means your monitor isn't tethered to an outlet, making it more convenient for you to use it wherever. Other nice features are built-in sounds and songs, two-way communication, and overall ease-of-use.

Who It’s For

The Mila baby monitor can be used with ages birth and up.
