DinoMazing Egg Decorator Review (Hey Buddy Hey Pal Investments)

DinoMazing Egg Decorator
What It Is

Decorating eggs is so much fun to do, but it doesn't have to be an activity restricted to Easter. With the DinoMazing Egg Decorator, kids can decorate toy dinosaur eggs and discover hidden surprises inside.

This craft kit is a little bit different than the original EggMazing Egg Decorator, which made it easy to decorate hard-boiled eggs at Easter. It works more like the company's TreeMendous Ornament Decorator in that instead of decorating real eggs, you're decorating plastic toy eggs. These toy eggs are "dinosaur eggs" with pretend cracks running over them to make it look like a baby dinosaur is trying to hatch. The kit includes two eggs and more are sold separately.

Pop one of the eggs into the machine and turn it on so that the egg starts spinning. Use the six markers to create colorful lines, stripes, and other prehistoric designs on the egg. Just hold a marker against the spinning egg and watch the designs appear. The more color you add to the egg, the better those pretend cracks show up.

When kids are done decorating, they can open the egg to discover one of six mini collectible dinosaurs covered in slime. Dinosaurs include a T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Pterodactyl, Velociraptor, and Ankylosaurus. The dinosaur will need to be assembled, and the more dinosaurs you collect, the more you can mix and match their heads, tails, arms, and legs to create your own unique dinosaurs.

Is It Fun?

We like that this incorporates creative arts and crafts play with dinosaur-hunting roleplay. The machine is easy to use and really fun to watch. Kids will like experimenting to create different patterns and designs on their eggs. And because these are eggs, we can see this being a fun Easter gift but something kids can play with year-round.

Who It’s For

The DinoMazing Egg Decorator is for ages 3 and up. It will have a special appeal to kids who like dinosaurs and surprise unboxings.

What To Be Aware Of

Four AA batteries are required but not included.

The packaging doesn't say this, but we tested this with a real hard-boiled egg, and it worked fine. So you could also use this to decorate your Easter eggs.
